
Have you ever asked yourself, “How do I transform my life spiritually; not just for a few weeks, but for good?”
If I’m honest, I’ve lost count of how many Januarys I’ve started with a list of resolutions only to abandon them by mid-month. Most years, my goals were shallow.
They were focused on my appearance, my bank account, or finally finishing that TV series I’d been stuck on for years. Sound familiar?
But this year feels different. This year, I want to be more intentional about my spiritual growth because I’ve realised I’ve been stuck in a rut. I’m in a place where I don’t feel used by God, and I’m not really growing.
With a new home on the horizon and a desire to get back into ministry fully, to serve in church again and commit to dynamic spiritual growth, I know something needs to shift.
And I have a feeling you might be feeling something similar.
Maybe you’re exhausted after the year we’ve had. Maybe you’re feeling low, distant from God, or wondering how to transform yourself when everything feels heavy. If that’s you, why not join me in this journey? It’s not a resolution, and it’s not a marathon.

Here are 25 simple, Jesus-centred ways to help you transform your life in 2026.
1. Start Your Morning With One Verse
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” — Psalm 119:105
You don’t need a two-hour quiet time to meet with God. Choose one verse each morning and let it settle into your heart while you’re brushing your teeth or waiting for the kettle to boil. Let that truth anchor your day.
2. Pray on the Bus
“Pray continually.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Some of my richest conversations with God happen on my commute. Instead of scrolling, I pray silently, honestly, messily. I ask the Holy Spirit to meet me right there in the noise and movement of real life.
3. Keep a Grace Journal
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22-23
Write down one way God showed you grace today. It might be small; a kind word, a moment of peace, provision you didn’t expect. This practice trains your heart to notice Him.

4. Trade Comparison for Contentment
“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” — 1 Timothy 6:6
Social media can make us feel like everyone else has it together. Choose to believe that your season, your calling, and your pace are exactly what God intended. You’re not behind.
5. Memorise Scripture While You Walk
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” — Psalm 119:11
If you’re walking to the bus stop or around your neighbourhood, use that time to repeat a verse out loud. Let God’s Word become the soundtrack of your steps.
6. Join a Small Group or Bible Study
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together.” — Hebrews 10:24-25
You can’t grow in isolation. Find a group of women who will encourage you, challenge you, and remind you of truth when you forget. Community is how we change our lives together.
7. Serve Someone Quietly
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” — 1 Peter 4:10
You don’t need a title or a platform to serve. Offer to pray for a colleague. Send an encouraging text. Bring biscuits to your neighbour. Ministry starts small.
8. Set Boundaries Around Your Phone
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity.” — Ephesians 5:15-16
If you want to be transformed, you need space to hear God. Try putting your phone in another room during your morning routine or turning off notifications during prayer time.
9. Confess Something You’ve Been Hiding
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” — James 5:16
Bring that secret struggle, that recurring sin, that shame you’ve been carrying, and lay it before Jesus. Confession is where transformation begins.
10. Read a Psalm Out Loud
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” — Romans 10:17
There’s something powerful about speaking Scripture over yourself. Choose a Psalm and read it aloud. Let the words wash over your heart.

11. Ask God One Honest Question
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” — Jeremiah 33:3
Instead of just talking at God, pause and ask Him something real: What do You want me to know today? Where am I resisting You? How can I love You better? Then listen.
12. Identify One Lie You Believe
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32
We all carry untruths about our worth, our calling, our belovedness. Name the lie, then replace it with what God says is true. This is how to change your life from the inside out.
13. Fast From Something That Distracts You
“But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen.” — Matthew 6:17-18
It doesn’t have to be food. Maybe it’s Netflix, Instagram, or constantly checking your emails. Create space for God to fill what you’ve emptied.
14. Worship While You Cook Dinner
“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.” — Ephesians 5:19
Turn on a worship playlist and let it shift the atmosphere in your home. Invite the Holy Spirit into the ordinary moments.
15. Write Out a Prayer
“Pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” — Psalm 62:8
If your thoughts feel scattered, try writing your prayers. There’s clarity that comes when you see your heart on paper.
16. Choose One Spiritual Discipline to Grow In
“Rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things.” — 1 Timothy 4:7-8
Maybe it’s solitude, fasting, silence, or generosity. Pick one and commit to practising it regularly. Small steps lead to a transformed life.
17. Forgive Someone You’ve Been Holding Hostage
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” — Colossians 3:13
Unforgiveness keeps us stuck. Ask God to help you release that person, not because they deserve it, but because you need to be free.
18. Listen to a Sermon During Your Lunch Break
“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” — Romans 10:17
Use those in-between moments to feed your soul. A 20-minute sermon can shift your entire afternoon.

19. Identify Where You’re Striving Instead of Resting
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Jesus offers rest, but we often choose hustle. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you where you’re trying to earn what’s already been given.
20. Create a “No” List
“But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.'” — Matthew 5:37
If you want to completely change your life, you need to protect your yes. Write down what you’re saying no to this year so you can say yes to what God is calling you towards.
21. Practise Gratitude Before Bed
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18
End your day by naming three things you’re grateful for. Gratitude reorients your heart towards God’s goodness. It’s a wonderful way to transform your life spiritually by focusing on the goodness of God.
22. Find a Mentor or Spiritual Mama
“Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live… Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children.” — Titus 2:3-4
Look for a woman who’s a few steps ahead in her walk with God. Ask her to meet with you once a month. Let her wisdom and experience guide you.
23. Read One Christian Book This Quarter
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” — 2 Timothy 2:15
You don’t need to read 50 books. Choose one that will challenge and encourage you. Let it marinate. Let it change you.
24. Evaluate What You’re Consuming
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” — Philippians 4:8
What are you watching, reading, listening to? Is it filling you with truth or draining your peace? Learning how to transform your life means being intentional about what you allow into your mind and heart.
25. Commit to Showing Up, Even When You Don’t Feel Like It
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
Transformation doesn’t always feel exciting. Sometimes it’s simply choosing to open your Bible when you’d rather stay in bed. Faithfulness matters more than feelings.

If you’ve been wondering how to transform your life or thinking, I need to change my life but I don’t know where to start. Can I remind you of something? You don’t have to do all 25 things perfectly. You don’t have to have it all figured out by February.
This isn’t about becoming a better version of yourself through sheer willpower. It’s about letting Jesus meet you right where you are, on the bus, in your kitchen, in your weariness, and allowing the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do: transform you from the inside out.
You’re not behind. You are not too far gone. You’re exactly where God can use you.
